Our First Post

We're Engaged!!!

We are so excited to begin planning and preparing for our big day and want to share the process with our family and friends.

So far, we don't have much planned. We know we'd like to have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception at a hotel. We also know that the big day will take place during the summer (June or July) of 2011. The rest of the details are in the works.

For now, I thought you might enjoy a couple more pictures from when Nick proposed and the story of how our relationship started....

The story so far...

It all began in Mr. Marx's Physics class back in the fall of 2002. After some encouragement from Nick's cousin, Kyle, Angie asked Nick to the Homecoming Dance. The pair went to the dance as "just friends" but by the end of the night something had changed. Angie and Nick enjoyed each others company throughout the school year and summer. In the fall of 2003, Angie left for Ball State University (seven hours away) and Nick began his senior year of high school. Love endured the distance and Nick found himself at Ball State the following year.

Nick and Angie's love continued to grow throughout the college years. They stood by each other during mononucleosis, hard times with volleyball, difficult Physics classes and much more. In the spring of 2008, they both graduated with their bachelor's degrees.

On December 23, 2009, Nick took the plunge and asked Angie to marry him on the steps of the Capitol Building in Madison. (Angie said yes)
